Gullac Recipe by Chef Aynur Özdemir


400 gr gullac sheets (extra thin phillo)

2,5 Lt Milk

1 kg sugar 250 gr ground/chopped walnuts (nuts, pistachios)


1- Add sugar and bring milk to boil

2- Place each piece of gullac (shiny side on the top to tray)

3- Pour warm milk until it wets/covers the gullac sheet

4- Sprinkle ground walnuts in-between the sheets.

5- Continue until all gullac sheets and milk used

Let it rest for 2 hours. Decorate with pomegranate, sour cherries, walnuts or pistachio
